Executive Chef Shane O’Neill joined Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa in October 2016. Prior to this, he was executive chef at Shangri-La Jing An in Shanghai, China.
In his current role, Chef oversees 19 food and beverage outlets, both at Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa and adjacent sister property Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, leading a team of over 180 chefs and running banqueting facilities with capacity for up to 3,000 guests.
With international experience in markets as diverse as the UK, Middle East, and Asia, Chef Shane always goes that extra mile to delight guests by creating engaging culinary experiences. Highly motivated, he is committed to producing the highest-quality meals, and relishes any opportunity to take on new challenges, and learn new skills in the pursuit of new standards of excellence.
